Today I went for one big TFCD events in JB.
There are totally 23 mollers and 40 photographers.
First time to see such big size TFCD sessions.
There are many poisons there also.
Tried 85mm F/1.2L there also, it is really a "WoW".
But my new toy 85mm F/1.8 really surprised me also.
Like my 85mm f/1.8 much also.

Sorry, what does TFCD stands for?:)

was using evaluative metering.
nv change the metering sicne i unbox my 450 D.

the basic of metering is what u need to understand (i assume u may not).
1. u need to understand what is evaluative, center weighted, partial and sport metering.
2. u need to know what influence the metering
3. finally, if u know the above 1 & 2, then u will know how to fool the metering of your camera

then your problem of over/under is solved.

Evaluative metering takes the lighting from all over the place.

In this case, I would use Center-Weighted. Btw, are you using a flash?

@scudd, thanks for the explanation.
i guess i need to read up more on the 4 metering mode.
it is smething that still troubles me ):

@Ryan, I din use any flash for the pictures.

Oh. Then have to understand the metering modes liao. But you manually choose your AF point right?

if u notice, the black area covers most of the frame. this will tell the cam that the scene is dark, so the cam (with its intelligent know-how... hehehe.. ) will shoot at a slower shutter speed.

u try again but this time with -1.0EV in Av mode, ISO100 & f1.8 (same settings as u used before).

yup
manually chose my af points for this 2 picture.

Frankly speaking, i prefer to noe it is a user problem than a machine..
i dread going back to CSC.

Your gears are very good already and there is no need for u to invest in lens already.
Somemore I just use the money from my patent award to buy this 85mm F/1.8 as a memory for that patent.
It might be the last purchase for me in this year.

Was reading thru the EF Lens brochure I took home from Canon Showroom.

Found out that 3 EF-S lens has the UD Lens that most L lenses have.

10-22, 17-55 and 55-250. No wonder these three babes are recommended so much among photographers.

Anyone knows where I can get this beautiful chap - Instax Mini 7S?

I saw a shop at Peninsular selling $119 but it's not white. The shop seems to be related to TCW.

Cute, but why do you want that? Is it digital or flim?
