I have a 450D and just bought a 430EXII flash. I have been shooting with my 450D and pretty good at it but when it comes to ext flash settings, I'm still confused. For wedding photography, esp. in a hall where there's no near walls around, what settings do I have to use? High speed sync?Slow sync? Zoom?Exposure comp?
I never plan to buy a diffuser but will try to use a pc of paper to soften the light from flash.

Any advice?

Thanks

If high ceilings, direct flash

M mode
1/50 to 1/60 sec
f/5.6
ISO400/640/800

use that as a starting point, and adjust from there.

I will give it a try when i get my 430 EX II soon, i also want to know...what kind of situation would an ommi bounce come in handy?I'm planning to try some shoots like in the club or pub.....what kinda settings and deffuser would be more appropriate?

i am contemplating to get EX430 II since its quite cheap at $410 at OP.. but thinking why not get 580EX II since its only $220 more @ $630...

but the thing is that 580EX II is damn big, the size puts me off.. :bsmilie:
