This thread is quite fun...

:eek::thumbsup:

I think Manita's post really blew me away. I had no idea she puts in so much effort into a single image. Here is my contribution, a far cry compared to hers.

Steps as recorded in LR:
Lens correction
White Balance
Auto exposure correction
Vibrance +51
Saturation +16
Luminance -blue and orange
Saturation +blue and orange
lots of spots removal
add fill +20
add clarity +30

Not entirely the original, lazy to find, but the first one's just with LR color edit.

Well... Figurines can't rotate their eyes, I have to do it for them LOL

Some notes, I have no fixed workflow. I do what I like and what I think is necessary.
My fav tools in photoshop are curves, clone tool, healing brush, normal brush, various layer modes, layer mask.

Was trying out Alien bokeh and experimenting with editing styles as usual.

Notes: I masked out my subject and blurred the bg, then later drew her hair at the edges back in with my tablet.

Thanks zaren for your comment, on this picture Skylight@Sentosa

It's pretty difficult to remove the tree what I did was clone part of the tree that was with the sky background,as for the aluminum pillar which is dotted with precise round spotted detail, I copy and paste from another pillar next to this pillar and twitch the transformation to match the size and position of the dot then free hand to blend the copy outline of the pasting.
as for the unusual color of the whole pic I blend a selected cyan and dissolve, then adjust the fill and opacity to give a fresh feeling of strong and yet pleasant color.
I also notice that here are people in the seventh pillar and after consideration of removing it then decide to just left it alone so it act as a gauge for the size of the pillars and does not affect the composition.
My only wish was that the lady could better of not wearing red clothing and the red potted plant near sixth pillar as they adds another primary color into this picture.

Thanks again for your comment and hope my little explanation does help others as well.

This thread is quite fun...

I actually prefer the non-PP version: the ships show activity, giving the pic some "life". Would have been better if the ship on the right wasn't obstructed by the buoy.
