I"m glad I didn't wait for this camera. I was considering switching over since the glass from nikon is better for my work, but I don't see how the sports/photojournalist professionals will fork out 8k for this camera in this economy with the publishing industry on a shakeup

Who knows, the effect of the D-Light can produce something similar to HDR? :think:

I thought the D3 was for the sports/photojournalists, and the D3x is for studio/landscape? :dunno:

I still can't get over the pricing... what is Nikon thinking??? Comparable C 5D2 and Sony 900 are almost one third the price of the D3x! And there's hardly any new tehnology in the D3x to command that kind of aggressive pricing -- let's wait for the 24MP D800 at maybe S$4k next year
