Confirm the New distributor is Shriro

If you do end up getting the focusing screen, it would be great if you could share your thoughts on it and whether it really you out. Been thinking about getting that focusing screen, but I really have no idea how much it'll help.

    Epson Photo Hard Drive

The P4000 also has a better battery. I used to own a P2000 (which I sold away a few months back), and I can say that its a really really good device. The only reason why I sold it was because I needed the money and I wasn't going to be using it any time soon. When I need it again (which is...

Pentax Classic - X rated model.

Just to add my own personal story with my MX. I "inherited" my dad's MX, and its really nice camera, although I disliked it at first. Very fun and easy to use, nice and bright viewfinder (compared to the *istDS that is), light and small. I carry it out with the *istDS as my backup camera...

Selling my Pentax *ist DS set

I'm using the same batteries as pictured. No big problems in terms of safety I guess, but the reliability isn't very good when shooting on hot and sunny days, the camera will suddenly turn off, and won't work anymore until it cools down. So what I do is I normally carry two sets of these...

    wide angle prime

I don't know about anyone else, but I really like my DA 14mm. Contrasty, nice colors, light (for its class, I carried it around everyday for 2 weeks during my trip to China), easy to carry, very easy to focus. The focal length definitely needs some getting used to, but the results are well...

Cathay Photo have Limited Lens now

Hehehe, but perhaps there are a few amongst us who would be in your position, to spend time with a lovely daughter than to spend time taking pictures. ;) Or maybe not, hehehe. ;p

    Quality of Filter Important?

Well, this article sums up my POV pretty well: http://www.photo.net/mjohnston/column66/ I shoot with 4 prime lenses, without any filters. Seriously, what Mike Johnston said is true, lenses are alot tougher than alot of us give it credit for. Just came back from a dusty 2 weeks in Beijing...

    Pentax *istDS 2

That's easy to equate. How much more are you willing to pay for the larger LCD screen? If that amount is equal or less than the difference between the price you're selling your *istDS and the price you're buying the *istDS 2, then you can get the *istDS 2. :)

    Pentax *istDS 2

As reported on dpreview, here's the specs for the *istDS2, which are reportedly the same as the *istDS, except for a larger LCD. http://www.dpreview.com/news/0508/05082101pentaxistds2.asp

    Storage for My 350D

Well, at least you know, rather than find out at the end of your month-long, once in a lifetime trip to Mongolia when you come back home. You'll lose at most a day's worth of shooting (if say, you transfer them to your viewer daily), and can try to rectify the problem, or even fall back to...
