[samtcy] Consolidated 2 Japan trips (Kansai + One Piece exhibition + Tokyo + Nagano)

After leaving Oji, I headed for Akihabara since it was still early and I had a couple of hours to kill.

1068) I was so surprised and happy to have unexpectedly come across this Ginza Bairin branch at Akihabara station! I love to eat the Katsudon from the Ginza Bairin branch at Singapore's Orchard ION (and Jcube) so even though it was still too early for lunch, I couldn't resist just having a meal here.

1069) My Katsudon set. 680yen. The taste is pretty similar to their branch in Singapore.

1076) Check out the super long queue. Almost all of them are male. No idea what the queue is for though.

After Akihabara, I headed for Koishikawa Korakuen.
Since my next destination after Koishikawa Korakeun is to go Rikugien for evening illumination, so I had loads of time to kill. So I found another nice bench at Koishikawa Korakuen and enjoyed some e-book reading in the nice cool weather. My feet was aching pretty badly from all the walking over the past couple of days.

1077) A very pretty Sakura viewing at Koishikawa Korakuen.

I just came back from Hokkaido, and whenever I saw a One Piece ad or exhibition, I immediately thought of you/this thread. :) There was a smallish exhibition at New Chitose airport and a dedicated corner on the 7th floor (iirc) of Daimaru in JR Sapporo.

Thanks for the info :) Too bad I'm not going Hokkaido anytime soon...

After leaving Koishikawa Korakuen, I headed for Rikugien Garden for the evening illumination event.

After lunch, it was just a short monorail ride on the Yurikamome line to get from Odaiba to Hama Rikyu.

1128) Hama Rikyu is a nice garden, and there's water taxi from here to Sumida.

1136) Was pleasantly surprised to come across this lovely field of flowers at Hama Rikyu. Was only expecting to see sakura, but having this is a bonus to me.
By the way, this photo was taken during late march.

1145) After Hama Rikyu, I somehow ended up at the top level of a nearby building (located diagonally opposite Hama Rikyu) in search for some top view of the surroundings.
And here is the top view of Hama Rikyu.

1148) Since I still had some dining vouchers (given to me as part of my prize from the photo contest), so I decided to slurge abit for dinner. So I went to the restaurant (that serves Hokkaido cuisines) that's located on the same top level of this building where I took the top shots Hama Rikyu and Tsukiji Market.
I love the view from my table in the restaurant.
