Not to start a war but I find nikon cheaper than canon in terms of camera and lenses (which is the sole reason for my decision to choose brand). Installment can only be done with big shops like Denki or Courts or HN but even with 0% interest you still pay more so I suggest you save up and when you finally buy, camera could be cheaper by then.

No offense meant. Just based on my experience when I was choosing between D70 and 20D (I intentionally avoided the 350D that time for personal reason). I know its not an equal comparison but for budget conscious, cost price is the main issue before quality. Same with the availability of 18-200 VR lens. For high-end stuff I'm not familiar anymore.
