How to strap tripod to a backpack with no inbuilt straps?

Bringing a Slik Pro GM for the trip
but is there any way to secure the tripod to the bag?

if you have a velcro belt just secure it to the bag. I am sure Deuter bag comes with some kind of hook belt. just use a little bit of imagination

buy two bungee cord from hardware stores or army market.
secure top with one and bottom with the other.

2.5 each.. total cost $5
