How to strap tripod to a backpack with no inbuilt straps?

Using a 40L Dueter Backpack.
Bringing a Slik Pro GM for the trip
but is there any way to secure the tripod to the bag?

if you have a velcro belt just secure it to the bag. I am sure Deuter bag comes with some kind of hook belt. just use a little bit of imagination ;)

yupz..its mainly just anyhow tie until tight can one =)

thinking of getting a velcro but must be at quite long.
Any idea where to get it?

I'm near Ikea (Alex) now

buy two bungee cord from hardware stores or army market.
secure top with one and bottom with the other.

2.5 each.. total cost $5
