Whoops, sorry my message didn't appear. I just bought a new D800 in Vietnam for USD2,680 which seems a good price to me. Moved up from a 300s and think this is a great improvement so far. I only have a 50mm f1.4g and a new 28-300VR so far. Will buy a 105mm Macro this week.

Wow, that a big price difference from the 1.4. Has anyone had a chance to compare the two side by side? The 1.4 is the lens I have been saving for because of its bokeh in portraits. Can I achieve this now for such a low price?

I've had the Sigma 10 to 20mm bought in Australia three years ago. Sharp, solid, sturdy, and superb. No problems with it at all.
