    colinsphotograffi

One of the most beautiful threads I have seen on the CSnap. I could not put it out of my mind since a few days ago. I would also appreciate if you could mention the post processing method.

    50mm 1.8G VS 50mm 1.4D

I still like AFs-50mmF1.8g bokeh more. It is more smooth to me and it is very sharp. However at the same price, that additional aperture might be attractive.

"Do you know the world?" --Competition--

Zhelong was the first one to mention the correct answer. Thank you for your efforts. The place is Persepolis, the capital of the Achaemenid Empire (ca. 550-330 BCE). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persepolis This gate is the "gate of all nations". The palace belongs to Cyrus the Great...

"Do you know the world?" --Competition--

Thanks :) The statue and the text on it was a give away. This one should be very easy. mention the name of the place or the nearby city.

    Spiral Staircase

So harsh much!? How do you know that. Did not bother to wait until the man leaves??!! Obviously he bothered a lot to put him inside the frame.

I spy with my Camera Eye ...

The photos are beautiful. I only wish you had a more wide lens and you could shoot parallel to the ground. That would minimize the perspective distortion which has affected some of your photos in a very noticeable amount.

    So near yet so far.

    - If the purpose of the photo is to show kid's frustration (of not being able to press the buttons), I would prefer to put the viewer in his position. - The rubbish on the floor is ruining the photo and just distracts. I did not like it at all (to be honest it is very offending to me when I see...

    Sunset in Malaysia

I have taken hundreds of photos of the place. It is very difficult to differentiate your photo from tens of thousands available on the internet. This one has something to differentiate it from others i.e. the sun. However sun has affected the image of building at the lower part. I would also...

    Spiral Staircase

    - For me, adding the bottom part would shift the attention to that section instead of the spiral stairs. - The guy has filled in the spiral stairs but if his photo was sharp, it would become too much of distraction. Now it merely shows the movement (i.e. the purpose of the stairs).

I am Big Big and so Sexy !!

I was going to mention that. It is unfortunately very noticeable.

    Official D3100 User Thread

@Beipio Good review. I agree with every single point you made. I am happy that I am not alone in my review. You have pointed to almost the same things. The only additional thing I found is that my kitlen 18-55 and also the 55-200 have a slight forward focus problem. I took photo of a few...

    Official D3100 User Thread

If you are going to be a casual photographer D3100 is just enough. Image quality and ISO performance is quite decent (not very lower than D7000). A casual photographer is going to have 1-3 lenses maximum (let's say a wide, a tele and a portrait prime lens). You may select those lenses from AFS...

    Flower

    - I was thinking about the same thing. Why this flower?!! It is not the most beautiful or even average looking flower. - The subject is too small in comparison to the frame. - Even though the background is faded, it is still distracting. Perhaps you have increased the contrast for the...
