Erm.. correct me about metering refering to the compensation or the bracketing? =X

Thanks. I find photo with frame will look better la.. its ok bro.. Er.. sadly nope.. no flash used for all photos cause i didn't bring. I agree that its overexposed. Am trying to find a suitable setting for it but can't seem to find one =X Need a little help on that

i m referrin to bracketing.. need to make sure that your subject n its background compensate/balance out each other.. hmm just to check your shots are taken in wat mode?

All taken in Aperture Mode. How do you know when to use the bracketing with the compensation? I'm trying to figure that out.

Great photos! Looks like you guys had fun :)

All taken in Aperture Mode.

Hmm ok i see, next time before you shoot, do try to look at your shutter speed... the lower the shutter, the brighter ur pics becomes at the set aperture..

Under Aperture Mode the cam decides for you its speed.. therefore, under bright daylight, there is a danger where when you focus on a subject (eg. the dog), the background (eg, the sky) is bright.. this results your subject to be either under-expose or your background to be over-expose depending on the speed the cam decides..

So a way out is to focus outside first, the re-compose your pics with your subject inside to have a balance exposure or switch to Manual and use the bracketing to assist you..

HTH :)

lolx.. Mike look so serious...

haha.. hard at work

what aperture might you be in? that might also be a part of the contributing factor?

nice series, longshu :)

keep the pictures coming in, guys~

thanx bro, u the technical adviser ya.

I like the auntie! She pose for you?

ah yes she did, and she was reviewing her own photo and said that she is ugly. told her, that she will be more beautiful then she can ever imagine. perhaps, just perhaps, i shld print it out as a photo for her. i reckon i shld be able to find her back there? if so, anyone any inputs that i might render the picture better before i print it out?

alright noted. Correct me if i'm wrong. By focusing on the bright spot, then re-compose, the pic should be not over-expose right? The same goes for if I focus on dark spot and re-compose, the pic should not be under expose?

It will be nicer if you didnt cut step's face.. haha.. nice attempt :)

hahha... my wedding photographer once told me. she said, photography is an art, u dun take the whole head, u gotta cut it. hahahha.... think i listen too much liao?? haha...

hi i also wanna chk. 1st scenario, may under exposed while number 2 may over exposed. depending on the speed, lighting is it?

Haha.. I look like an idiot behind him =X

Erm.. most of them about f5 to about f9 range? ISO 200?

Hmm.. that will sure help, cos it would bring the shutter n aperture balance out.. however, i do suggest you can try to switch to Manual to have a look at your focus pt using bracketing to see if the shutter n apeture of ur choice is well balanced out if not adjust it till it balance then switch back to aperture to see if the shutter n aperture is well balanced out.. dun be afraid to use manual, after all this is a DSLR, nt a pns :)

LOL, but dun u tink u're nt giving a credit to your model by cropping her face.. haha

Just to chap in..even if im not there.

it all depends on your metering mode. Most likely you're on evaluative/matrix then : If there's alot of bright areas within your frame, set your EC to 1-2 stops down and it should be okay. On evaluative/matrix the coverage is pretty large so it takes into most of the frames into account
