"14. Entrants agree to assign all rights, including but not limited to copyrights, in the entries submitted to the Australian High Commission, upon the submission of the entries. The Australian High Commission reserves the right to use all 40 shortlisted entries for exhibition, publicity and promotional purposes, including but not limited to the use of the images from the top 12 finalists in its annual calendar and use by its competition partners and sponsors, in any manner deemed fit without the payment of any fee to teh respective entrants."

Note that clause 14 clearly states that you'd have to assign ALL rights to the image, which essentially means that they'll hold copyright, publishing rights, imaging rights, rights to profit, etc.

I know that terms and conditions like this are part of a long withstanding argument, but here's a another side to it ....if you give up your all rights, you may not have any rights to publish and/or sell images that have been submitted.

So, just be wary.
