cool concept and look, maybe more ambient for the background find it abit muted..

May i know how you take this shot..i mean shutter speed, f number? Always wanted to try this type of output... :)

Vivitar 285HV at 1/16th power with 1 stop ND and 1/2 CTO gel through shoot-thru umbrella high left, another 285HV at 1/16th power with 2 cuts ND, 1/2 CTB gel and a DIY gridspot at 2 o'clock position, Canon 430EXII at 1/64th+0.7 power with Lavender gel zoomed to 105mm far back at 10 o'clock position, all triggered via Cactus V4..

Cam settings 1/13th sec, f/2.0 ISO 400, which explains the very low flash powers..

creative way for the bitter lemon product shot you have Daedalus.

Cool thread.

This being the newly created section for lighting, I think a lighting setup thread is in order.. so let me share an old setup of mine..

This..

2 gridded Vivitar 285HVs top left and right at 1/16th power to light up the cam, another at the top gelled blue plus grid at 1/4th power to light up background..

Creates this..

This is very good!

Great setup and end product:thumbsup:

nothing too fancy, SB-800 ontop at 1/4th power, 430EXII at 1/8th, both through shoot-thrus.. my first try at off-cam lighting on medium format..

more from this shoot on my flickr stream..

2x Vivitar 285HV at 1/4th power bounced off the ceiling.. gives sort of a ringflash effect..

Some more additional:

3752152189_50cf716652.jpg

Strobist info: 2 flash setup, 580EII with snoot and blue gel from below left at 1/16 at 70mm (for a more linear and compact light source to prevent the spill off) and a 430EXII at 1/32 (slightly weaker power to that of the 580EX so that it can't over power the blue color for the smoke) with a shoot through umbrella and a CTO at 24mm. 1/200 ISO 100 F1.4.

3746486060_5da69199c2.jpg

Strobist info: 2 flash setup. 580 EX at front with blue gel and shoot through umbrella set to 1/16 approx. 1m away and a 430exII set at 1/64 at the back with a reflective umbrella for a slight rim light both triggered by PT-04. ISO 200 F1.4 at 1/150.

3743463422_35942a5c93.jpg

Strobist Info: 3 light setup, 1 580 EXII at the back with a reflective umbrella and a blue gel (reflective umbrella to minimize a harsh reflection which might blow out the whole background) at 1/16 at 50mm zoom and then a 430 EXII with a CTO to warm up the skin tone at 1/32 at 24mm zoom and a 430 EX below on low power at 1/64 and 50mm pointing at the bubbles (with a snoot) to light them up. Bokeh is made from small candles that I bought for 4 sing dollars a set :). ISO 100 1/400s (at high speed sync) and F1.4

3739604642_cc4ea9a2f7.jpg

Strobist info: Two flash set-up 1 at front with a shoot through umbrella (with full CTO) at 1/16 at 24mm zoom and another at the back with a gridspot (with a CTB) at 1/8 and 50mm zoom. Both triggered by ST-E2 set at high speed sync with shutter speed at 1/800 and aperture at F1.4
