C&C welcome...

hope everyone is ok?? saw one the other day, blood on the floor.. too upset even to take out my cam to snap. Two motorcyclist lying motionless on the floor

I used to think that photojournalism is a cool job and dream of being a reporter in the war zone...

Until I realised that I cannot press the shutter or rather point the camera at subjects that are crying, dying or in distress...

Being a photojournalist, one have to detach his emotion from his job... which I can never do...

That's why I end up selling cameras... :)

A film that should be watched by street photographer enthusiasts...

thats the reason why george rodger gave up photojournalism/war photography after seeing himself taking photographs and making good compositions out of dead bodies upon entering the concentration camp.

my view. photojournalism is a very selfish thing.
more dying, or more despair, the better photojournalist.
i rather catch smiling faces or no faces at all. :bsmilie:

On the other hand, I salute those daring enough to go into warzone to bring us the reality of things there. Photojournalists also bring the world closer with their pictures.

Saw 2 accidents today myself, thank goodness everyone involved was okay. At one scene one car was totally mounted on the grass patch with the wheels bent out of shape.

My shot for today.

Velvia 50. Hawai'i, Kona. Was there for the Ironman event in early October.
