if i am the studio owner or photographer, the escort will be kindly requested to wait outside the studio, with the door closed. unless the escortee is a child model. so unprofessional to bring an escort along, right?
No. He left. He knew better since he was photogrpaher. Actually, became friends with him.
It is not unprofessional to bring an escort. But it is the model's responsibility to make sure the escort is not in the way, or affecting the shoot negative in any manner.
!!! Curious to know the aftermath.
We got CCTV in the studio, one camera showing the studio and another showing the room where the les. lover was waiting. After spending the next 1 hour with the cops, viewing the recording and interviewing the model, the cops bought the les. lover back to the police station for question for false reporting :angry::angry:
Well maybe I the lucky one, got a b/f who just sat there while I was doing a shoot for the model. End up as freinds with him and he even help me set up my first studio's wireless network
Singapore had for most part, been a very safe place to live and work. Escort is very common in many other places, and as photographers, we learned to live with it. But that does not mean that we should allow the escort to interfer with the job that needs to be done.I think this is kinda ridiculars. Its like bringing your bf/gf/papa/mama to work!
Escorts who are bf/gf tends to interfer. There are exceptions, but those are rare.
I do shoot with one model in Singapore, her bf is always there. When I met the model the foirst time before the first shoot, the bf was there. He is perhaps the only bf escort that I don't mind. He is actually very helpful. But that is something the model needs to control, to makesure the escort is not a hinderance.

that includes bringing an escort to the set. the fact that an adult model has allowed an escort to be present on the set, is unprofessional conduct on the part of the model.
there are shoots which a client would like complete confidentiality. bringing an escort on set is already a problem, even if the photographer does not mind.

This issue of models bringing escort have been going on for a long time in other forums. My view is this:
I don't care, nor do I have the right to judge how a model chose to behave outside of a shoot. So long as she informs me in advance about her escort (out of respect for me and my studio's security) and can deliver what I want in front of my camera, she's done her job and is considered a professional.
Some people may feel that it's unprofessional, showing disrespect and a lack of trust to the photographer when the model brings an escort. This is fine, everyone is entilted to their opinion.
For me, my prospective is, the model is here to do a job in front of my camers, so long as she gets the job done without interuption from any unrelated 3rd party, I don't care if she tells me she's bringing her b/f's grandmother with an armed guard.
On a side note, and this is a serious matter:
if the model turns up with some big, bulky, shady guys and I feel comfortable about the whole thing, security wise, I'll inform all of them that our CCTV system have remote recording over boardband, sit down and have a chat with the "escort" to gauge them and if I still don't feel safe, tell the model that I don't feel safe shooting in this suitation. This have happen before and that time, the model told the escorts to come back to pick her up later ( they were her b/f and his friend, big bulky and got lots of "che na" tattoo ) :sweat::sweat:

Perhaps, I can suggest that if confidentiality is needed, the escort can be asked to wait in the waiting area. So far my clients are OK with that.
If the client demands a cleared set because of confidentiality, then no escort. What is the big fat deal? Actually, the escort can wait outside? You have problem even with that?
Majority of the situation when an escort is involved has to do with private shoots, and that is what we are talking about. Escort are there because of concerns about safety. This is totally acceptable. Any other reasons, then it is probably inappropriate.
By the way, in a commercial shoot, the model usually feels safer because of the many people on the set, the make up artist, the stylist, the PAs, the air director, the client, the ad executives, and the list goes on and on. Still, with so many people there already, what is the problem with one more.
Personally, I don't like them if the escort is a bf/gf. I will tolerate them if they have absolutely no negative impact on the shoot. What is your beef with an escort if the model is concerned with her safety?
Yeah it's usually the bf or lover or gf that brings in the problem.
I had one case where the bf came and although he was quiet throughout the whole session (I was shooting some really sexy bikinis which was her own portfolio). I actually requested her for another session as my client actually wanted to engage her for a commercial shoot as my client was impress by her figure because she really fitted what they were looking for.
Guess what was her answer? She turn down the job offer (client was offering her $5,500 for 2 days shoot) because she told me that her bf was not happy because she had to do sexy pose on my shoot. She told me if she were to do another bikini shoot, he would leave her. She actually wanted to do it because the money was good (she needed it to pay off her credit card debt). So in the end, hehe.............her bf had to pay off her credit card bill! BTW....she is a freelance Asian model who surprisingly rejects bikini shoots (she can easily commands at least SGD$2,500-$3000 minimum for per day bikini commercial shoots). :bsmilie:
