Search Fail

As titled. Is there something wrong with my search technique.
I was searching for 400D, 17-40, 70-200 kept getting 'no results'
decided on an experiment. Can't go wrong with a name.

I think this is a very valid question or problem posed by TS...

Is it how the CS database is structured such that search engine doesn't really work well at all?

I have given up on the search function some time ago.
Now i use google to search.
type: "site:clubsnap.com" followed by what you want to find in the google search bar.
Example: "site:clubsnap.com nikon 50mm 1.2"

Thanks. The google search is useful.
But that's not exactly the point I'm trying to make.
As a new member, I keep seeing people post 'use the search'
Now, when I can't search, I'm told to 'look around within Canon sub-forum'
which kinda defeats the purpose of the search in the first place, no?

There have been several occasions when I've tried searching and get the 'sorry - no matches' even though there should be matches, and its quite frustrating.
