RICOH GRIII Exposure Preview OFF?

Hi, as mentioned, I've recently acquired the griii and i'm just wondering if there's a way to turn off the exposure preview - this is esp annoying when i have a flash attached and the preview goes all black when im in manual

I don't own a gr iij but I think turning off auto ev compensation should work by the op/TS reply.
