Official Plane Spotting Thread II

To keep the spirit going on Plane Spotting, here is my lucky shot.

Wasn't on the grounds today but managed to capture this coming in from the south near 02R. Else it would have been a good collection of pics garner from 8 days of the Airshow period from different view points.

The B52 sounded normal like any other commercial jet in the skies. However, I noticed it flew in very fast and exited out to the south all in 1 minute.

Supplementary belly shot for recognition purposes, anybody can distinguish if the Vipers are the C or D variants just judging from the underside?

Alaska Airline's Boeing 737 in Barrow, Alaska (Point Barrow nearby is the northernmost point of North America). There are so few planes at the airport that, after the plane landed, it comes to a stop on the runway and immediately makes a 180 degree turn to travel in the opposite direction to reach the terminal.

FedEx's first Boeing 777 Freighter. This was taken just before the handover ceremony.

The Dreamlifter, a modified Boeing 747 used to fly in parts for the new Boeing 787 in Everett, Washington.

A DHL Boeing 757 returning from a test flight. This was taken on the same day DHL's competitor, FedEx, took delivery of its first Boeing 777F.

Judging from the extended tail fairings, they are both Ds.

Oh wow. You are really good, how can I not notice the difference in length of the dorsal spine and tail fairing between the RSAF F-16C and F-16D variant staring right at my face.

Thank you so much for informing me. :D

Made a mistake in the following aircraft description, 641 is a F-16C rather than a F-16D variant.

As a disclaimer in this new thread, the RSAF aviation photos are taken from the comfort of my mum's apartment when I pay her a visit every now and then. Please kindly do not loiter around of the the airbases or for the matter of fact, around the perimeter fence of any aerodrome — civilian and military alike. ;)

I will. Unlikely from Barrow again though; it was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of trip. Plane ticket price was more than enough for me to fly back to SG. I just happened to have a fly-anywhere-you-want free ticket from Alaska Airlines so decided to visit a place that's a little extreme :bsmilie:

But since I live near four airports (Paine Field, Boeing Field, Renton Municipal, and SeaTac), I will definitely shoot and post more aviation pics.

And you know your airports well, bro

Hmmm...there is something VERY interesting about 627. Will not discuss more, but you'll spot it if you know what you're looking for.

Have been absent from this thread since the airshow, thanks to a little bird for giving me the headsup that there have been interesting happenings here.

Nice photos Orion!
