Hi bomby, are you using FF or DX body? Nice pictures!

Nice set of pics 'silence' and 'supercool'! Thanks for sharing!

thx, the cotton flower is something not common i think, i was surprised to c my MIL growing it

Went trekking along the Green Corridor this morning. Took the lens along to try out(yet to have chance to use it for a proper shooting). Here are some shots of dragonflies I got along the way... enjoy.. The weight of the lens made the trip more relaxing. Almost didn't feel much 'heaviness'.. AF speed quite fast and the sharpness!! Am in love with this lens...

Saw this beautiful bird from far. Probably 10m away or something? Just grab my cam and took the shot before it flew away. cropped 100%...

guys, will the D700 + 70-200F4 be long enough for Singapore Zoo? i plan to rent this glass when i visit Singapore. or should i stick with the D700+70-300VR combo?
very tempted to try this glass. ;)

Yes, not all store but mostly have stock. Price range is $1660 to $1720 depends on payment mode.

Wow, pictures are very sharp. Are they out of camera, or sharpened in post?

the pics r straight out of camera, only changes is resize it smaller so that loadin is faster.
the doggie shot is done at 200mm f/4 and i hv absolutely 0 complaints abt the sharpness.

this lens suffer from the same nikon problem, out of stock at lots of places.
in fact, the copy i got, the sales person had to check daily with his nikon sales rep and he managed to get ONLY 1 copy.

some guyz have gotten it from JB and price is cheaper than SNG...

can try hunting there, since lenses hv international warranty as long as it's not a grey set

The dreaded Nikon out of stock syndrome.

I'll checkout the stores next week.

Thanks all for the intel.
