If jap is cheaper, get it. Lens is international warranty in sin. Just remember to keep the receipt as proof date of purchase .

If I decide to buy it in Japan I would simply order it from Amazon JP and let it ship to my home there, takes about 12 hours. Actually, it's easier buying it there than here and service and customer protection are better.

Yes, some shops at Funan have the same price but you also get an additional $25 NTUC voucher.
