about the macro shot performance, I think I'm not the expert to review this product, this is my 1st time I use macro, i don't know much about this... sorry.

Had anyone tried NEX with m42 adapter + lens?
I remember, nex should be able to use as there's a option to "Release Shutter w/o Lens", Correct bo?
The next thing is Metering, for Manual Lens, the metering is also manual?
On NEX, we select the metering mode also? Or there's a particular option for manual lens?

hahaha.. ya I like the case. Sony original case doesn't have the tripod mount in it.
Where did u get? I Got from the 1st owner here. He said he bought from eBay, made in Korea and not available locally. Is it true?
BTW, can I ask in this thread, what's the best Nikon lens adapter for NEX?
Is there any such Nikon / EOS adapter that can do auto focus on NEX body?
Personally not tried that, I used Leica-M mount with Voigtlander lens.
Yes, NEX has option to release shutter w/o lens.
Metering is auto . We change the aperture manually , the meter will adjust accordingly.
But bear in mind, you can only use Manual mode or Aperture priority.
Cos the cam cannot select aperture automatically, but is able to adjust the shutter speed when you manually change the aperture.
PS : I think you can get a m42 to M mount adapter and then mount it to NEX via M-mount adapter.

Just got the MS Optical Perar Triplet 35/3.5; it's small form matches the NEX very well

Landed cost around $980. It's a M mount so a M-NEX adaptor is required.
Handheld shot in aperture priority mode (I always use A with manual lenses). ISO200 at 1/100s.
Not sure if it is available locally. My friend got it for me in Korea cos he travel to Korea frequently for work.
