yesterday was my first serious trial of using the external flash unit 500FTZ with my *istD.
was shocked that if I put it to TTL auto mode + autozoom, I can only trigger flash mode to either off or red-eye-reduction from the *istD body with a FA* star lens with shooting mode set to A-priority.
If set menu to Manual(shutter speed/aperture, flash set to all manual modes), can trigger off/red-eye/wireless/wireless HS from *istD, but not the bolt sign as I normally can see using the built-in flash on the body.
And I dun understand why wireless becomes an option...
Any 500FTZ user can give me a little headzUp/tips on how to use it on digital bodies? especially w/wo auto-modes
