Hi, I'd just like to know how much, u guys spend approximately per month on photography.

Would u consider photography an expensive hobby?

Hope you don't mind sharing your experiences... ;)

Depends on how much I shoot. I don't buy new equipment anymore (unless absolutely necessary) so it's now down to consumables and processing costs. I'd say, under $100 a month typically. That's around 5 rolls of negatives and cost of processing + scanning (excluding printing), or slides (process + mount + scan).

$100 seems reasonable.

But how do u usually keep them? All in 4R size or do you only develop the good ones into larger sizes like 8R and keep?

I've been into photography quite a while, but I've yet found a good way to keep my photos.

I shoot slides more often, and request mounted, which I then keep in slide sleeves.

For negs, I usually ask for develop + scan (no prints). Then file the negs. Saves me quite a bit.
