dont you hate white sky and water?

if you do the strobist way, you will retain detail in the sky and the water when it is not cloudy.

actually, you flashed on the first and last and second last photos.

all i can say is choose the "right" sky to shoot.

thanks, Casualsnaper. Ya, you're right. It was challenging for me in the first half. Trying out no-flash. Later juggling shutter speed, ISO, aperture and flash all at once, trying to keep background detail and the right lighting on model. And I can't help being distracted by the sweetest smile. haha... Paiseh can't let model wait too long before a snap.

I got slightly better towards the end, i think. (#1 is one of the last shot). Here's another one:

Hi Caravanduke, I only used direct frontal flash. Could be light reflected from the water

Agree, this has the best composition & she's a very beautiful Sabah gal.

Got to be careful next time not to cropped off the lower eg. #3, 5 & 6 as you have extra space on top.
