Thanks to Olympus Singapore, I had the chance to loan a set of EM1 to try out over the weekend. Just to share some of my observation here.
This was my first time shooting macro with a m4/3 camera. Glad that the anti-shock feature was still there. Some other system called it Mirror-lockup, thought that this feature will be aborted with mirrorless.
Almost 100% of the time i'm using manual focus and I have no problem with the big, bright and clear resolution EVF. And of cause, the twin flashes works fine with this new model.
Spending 3 hours this morning and taking almost 250 shots with some videos recording, the battery icon still show full.
The OOC jpeg looks clean, probably too clean for me. I wish i could take a closer look at the raw files but unfortunately I don't have any software to open them at this moment. Below images was OOC jpeg with some basic post-processing with Photoshop.
Here's my usual macro setup:
Something missing as compared to the E5 is the articulating screen (more flexible at odd angles) and the screwed-on end of the remote cable release (more secure).
Sharing some images.
1. Spitting Spider, female (1/250sec, f16, ISO800, full-flash)
2. Spitting Spider, male (+1.4x TC, 1/250sec, f16, ISO500, -0.3ev full-flash)
3. Mating Moth (1/30sec, f16, ISO500, -0.3ev, fill-flash)
4. A Vacant Nest (1/50sec, f16, ISO500, -0.3ev, fill-flash)
