Images look soft here at CS

Hi CSers, I always have this problem. When I copy the link from my flickr and paste the pic here, the images always look soft. Anybody know why? On my flickr, the images are excellent. Thanks.

Images always look softer if they are resized (hence why I resize then sharpen in photoshop, then upload to Flickr).
My images here always look the same as on flickr.

Agree...soft in what sense?

The picture will look soft unless you link from facebook or else other photo server like photobucket, Flickr all these do not resize the photo

Did you use the size that Flickr resized for you?
If yes, try not to. Use the original size that you uploaded to Flickr.

I also noticed that if they do the resizing, the IQ will be down.

flickr resize the photos also look ok leh. At least much better then facebook.

I used to get this problem as well.
Thought it was compression from photo hosting site, browser settings for showing jpegs, post processing (ie. lack of).

In the end, I found that it was due to me setting my browser to zoom+ due to some previous requirement :bsmilie:
