hi,

a newbie here...and a newbie question:

how to make a picture speaks a thousand words?

by skills? - like handling of camera, different setting etc

by perception? -how you compose your subject in the frame

by instinct? -how you react to your environment

by luck? -trial and error

it starts with the eye: not equipment, not technique, not skill, not training

can u see a picture that speaks a thousand words to you?

have you seen any recently?

if not then go look for pictures that other people have said thousands and thousands of words about it, eg Mona Lisa

then ask yourself was it worth these thousand of words? and if so can you add something that was never said about it before?

although a 1000 mile journey starts with one step, it helps if the steps are in the right direction, and not going in circles either
