how many people use MF lens on canon DSLR

Personally i used hasselblad lens on the 5d it gives the same characteristic of the cz mf lens depth of field and color. If you use cy cz before then it is similar but with the mf depth of field. Pretty happy with the 40mm , 60mm and 80mm and 150mm.

by the way, you can use a nikon fm2 spilt focus on the 5d it fits nicely. If looking for lens adapter you must visit china town pt fotographix at level 2.

for focus, you can use slit-image screen or AF-chip, also you can use AF-chip first to get metering info, then use this same info to set up your "M" mode when use slit-image screen to focus at same target at same spot. shoot, then compare both pics, you will know the answer immediately. same focus spot and same metering info, why get 2 different image quality...there is only one explanation----the sensor and digic CPU works in dif "mode" also..


also, FF DSLR bokeh more pretty than APS-C body even use same lense by AF-chip...try it...

olympus OM lense can be used since their register around 46-46.5mm

4/3 lense can not, their register is only 38mm+

EOS register is 44mm

Never heard before. They are quite heavy and big. Check these out.

This is a Zeiss Vario-Sonnar 10-100mm f/2.8. Quite a nice lens, but when mounted on a 16mm film camera, it behaves like a 20-200mm.
