The wide angle perspective works well for me here. Nice choice of background and good expression. Nicely done.
charming expression, but the background is distracting. i would suggest a tighter crop to allow the viewer to focus more on your subject's expression.
I agree with eikin. Crop the image. It'll make the facial expression of the subject more pronounced. Besides, the background looks too messy and distracting.
Also, you may want to consider retaking the same shot from a much lower position. Try kneeling or sitting instead. Bring yourself to the same height as your subject. It'll give you a different perspective. Photos taken from an adult's position diminish the size of the subject; i.e (child).
