Cormorants Fighting

1. In what area is critique to be sought?
I would like feedback on the composition and how to make the birds stand out more.

2. What one hopes to achieve with the image?
I want to show the birds and them fighting over the fish, the action and the drama.

3. Under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
The image was captured at about 1pm, did not do any post-processing

4. Thread-starter's personal thoughts about the image.
I feel that the shot is a bit out of focus and a bit of the birds are out of the frame.

It's a good moment captured, and you've already pointed out the areas to improve

Just have to practice more, to be more familiar with the settings needed:
- shutter speed needed to freeze the action (depends on how fast they're moving, sometimes need 1/1000 or faster)
- aperture needed for sufficient depth of field (looks ok here)
- choosing the autofocus point beforehand or focus-recompose (so the composition is better in-camera)

Thanks for sharing :)

you did a pretty good job already for wild life shot, dont be too hard on yourself and since you already know what you need to improve on. I give you + points.

hehe would love to see a front facial view of them instead of from sideways. want to see their animal expression.
