As above, let say i took a person on the street and post the picture here, does it offend any privacy/legal issue?

A similiar question came up in another forum...you might want to browse through it here .There's a link in the discussion leading to a Popular Photography article: ""it's The Law" By Victor Perlman, attorney for the American Society of Media Photographers." .

Hope that helps!

Thanks a lot :)
but what i really need is a insight about those laws in Singapore. I don't wish to be stuck in the incident whereby the person in my picture sue me for posting his/her picture here in Clubsnap.

whatever you recorded in your camera, it belongs to you. there is no privacy laws in singapore.

if you're posting shots of people you dunno, the person can request you to take it off, but it's all up to you....and, he can go to a lawyer...as long as he got the $$$ or means to do so :D

if you're posting shots that shows the person in a very bad "light", or obscene, and thus caused certain damages to him, then you better reconsider...but it's your rights to post it...but you'll have to bear whatever consequences...if any

whatever you do, it's all about etiquette...

alrite thanks! :)
stay tuned, and i'll post pictures in the landscape/travel section very sooN! :)

you may also want to search out the forums for a hotly debated and controversial thread on such this topic (I think it was street shoots). think it had to do with posting ugly pictures of people on hte net (as opposed to pictures of ugly pple which is different).

cheers

Take a look at the virtual MMS camera (http://www.isnapper.com) This guy allows you to snap anything appears on your PC and send as MMS to mobile phones. So, i don't think there is real issue if you are an individual, of course, don't post pornographic of others (well, steve chia is cleared!)

yea, there is no copyright over ur face. only recourse is to sue for tort of defamation, if the picture is defamatory. so, shoot as u please.
