what lense would u experience people recommand?

    1. Depends on your budget, how much do you want to spend? 2. Personally, I started with 18-55. Came with my 40D as kit. Too dark and was a little disappointed. 3. My all time favourite, EFS 17-55 f/2.8. 4. But this depends on your shooting style.

Hard cases, what are my options?

Before, I have used the 1450, for storage when first starting out. Quite portable too, can fit a 70-200 f4 "vertically" [short side of case]. 40D to the side, plus another 85 f/1.8, cables & spare batts, filters and stuff. My current storage is a wheelie, 1564 with padded dividers. It is...

How to clean your dslr's pentaprism mirror?

My 40D has a few specks of dust too. Generally, unless you shoot at f/11 or f/16. It won't show up, unless it is a big blob of dust. As above, just follow Kermitfm's advise. I do the same, every so often. I normally try to live with it.

Hard cases, what are my options?

I have a few Pelican cases. 2 big ones, 3 small ones and 1 even smaller one for small things. It really depends how much stuff you want to put in it? This is for storage or to move around with you gear?

Travelling to Spain...advice for safety against pickpockets?

Kai2810, IMHO. I would suggest that you travel light, 1 mounted lens on cam and 1 other. Leave tripod behind. Use a normal backpack, it does not attract attention. Currently using a Deuter with back mesh design. In the bag, I would use a Domke padding pouch to put in the cam, the...

Canon EF-S 10-22mm f3.5-4.5 IS USM...worth to invest on compared to 3rd party lens??

I am using the 10-22 EFS, very nice lens and good pictures produced. It's a little expensive now, but I think worth the money if the IQ is important to you.

    Japan (again?!?!)

Nerdie, Nice pictures. I like #9 and the shot of the van. Were you using a UWA lens? Which one, may I ask?

    Lens for travel

Fitlies, When I travel, I bring only 1 other lens: EFS 10-22. Mounted on my 40D would be the EFS 17-55 f/2.8 The 24-105 is great for walkabouts even on a crop camera. But once indoors, it is very limiting due to 24mm might not be wide enough. Depends on what you shoot. Bangkok is a...

Canon owners: which lenses do you own?

Hhhmm, then I guess mine is 10-200 f/1.8-4.5 IS using a 40D. 6 sets all in 1 (^_^) Something of a mee-pok (jia liau, all in, bak chor, spring onion, chili, etc, etc). :bsmilie:

Ok to store ur camera in a air tight container?

Sorry for "gate-crashing", but I think my question may be relevant. What about Pelican cases? I don't use dry cabinet. I use the Pelican case, it is air-tight and I put a bit of silica gel and wrap it in tissue paper and put it into the case. Anyone here uses Pelican case? Any problem?

    Most recommended lens

For crop cameras, one of the most versatile would be the EFS 17-55 f/2.8 is you are using the Canon system.

Jolin Tsai Spotted @ Jurong Point~!

Wow, 500kg/sq m would mean that it can support an average sized Japanese car..... assuming car park size is 5m x 2m = 10 sq m and the weight of car would be about 2,000kg (2 metric tons). No problem..... plenty of buffer weight!!!

    canon 70-300mm vs 55-250mm vs 70-200mm F4

May the FORCE be with you. Actually, my Gitzo is sitting in my car's boot most of the time, unless I do night shoots. Even when travelling, I use only the 17-55 & 10-22 only, emergency (bring along 50 f/1.8 for low light). My, my, your girl has grown a bit compared to the last photo posted...
