I went for 17 days, Osaka - Kyoto - Hakone - Tokyo - Hokkaido - Tokyo
Thoroughly enjoyable (and expensive!!)

The van was parked in front of a shop owned by Nepalese immigrant family selling organic foods

Oh no definitely not!
I shoot mostly in P, sometimes A or S-mode if P fails me... most of my shots don't really need much thinking one (i also cannot think too much, haha)

Still in Kyoto...

I'm inclined to agree with you haha, they are all pretty generic.. have lots of room for improvement. I prefer my candid Japanese pple series, haha..

Japan is such a beautiful place, the photos don't really do justice to it!

And... Your Tokyo series was *#&$ing good haha..

Agree.. I think it would be better if you try to shoot in a normal way rather than tilt your camera in almost every pics.. Just a suggestion..
