What happened to the white balance? Doesn't look like it was taken by your Nikon D80.

    Linda @ Raffles Place

Catseye, great photos and lovely model. #1 - lacks a bit of contrast but this is more PP than anything else #3 - have to watch the use of flash. I can see the reflection on her lips. As you would know, light from flash should look as natural as possible. Perhaps use a (stronger) diffuser...

I think perhaps the third shot may have been better shot landscape.

All of them are excellent.. except the last one. Looks like she is having her photo taken with a water tank....

Nice poses. I agree - I think second shot suffers from a bit of camera shake. Mind to share the EXIF data?

    My First Portraiture Photography

Still an amateur myself but #1 - as others said, white balance is off. Fastshot, my monitors have not been professionally calibrated but I have used Apple's calibration tool - the model's skin tone in your edit appears very pale leaving it looking a bit ghostly and unnatural. #5 - I would...

The composure of your travellogue is equally as impressive as your photos. A fluent English speaker myself, I only wish I could write as descriptively as you... and a beginner photographer myself, I only wish I could see as you see. Keep up the good work.

    HK stuffs cheaper?

Hi guys I'd like to add DigitalRev (http://www.digitalrev.com) to the list, although I don't know if they ship to Singapore. They seem to give pretty good prices (compared to Australian prices) on their website and also on eBay with a 98.9% rating based on approx 11,500 ratings. However...

Lens for 400D in place of kit lens

First post! Getting back to the original topic, I myself am a new 400D user. My first lens was the 18-55mm kit lens which seems borderline adequate. After careful and deliberated research, I've found that most prosumers would probably need at least another more-capable walkaround lens, and...
