    A Good Canon Travel Lens

Wah .. 24-70 costs >$2k cannot already loh .. I was expecting $1+, still can bet on stock market abit. I'm not fully satisfied with the 18-55 kit, tho' it's the lens I using curently. I find it still lacks the zoom I require, so the 17-85 sounds like a good range for me. I've read mixed...

    A Good Canon Travel Lens

Thanks for all the tips and advice. I'm half-hearted on the 28-105 as I feel I might one day get the 28-70 L ;) , so getting the 28-105 now would be a waste of money.... Does anyone know the pricing difference between the 2? I also have the Tamron 28-200 XR, but was not too happy with the...

    A Good Canon Travel Lens

Was wondering if any of you guys out there can recommend a good travelling lens for my 300D. I'm more into landscape, but do occasionally take those people pictures as well (does this make sense? ) Thanks for any recommendations! Also, a qucik question: I am used to shooting in...

    Exposure Problem with the 300D

I often try to resist tweaking using PS, but I realise I don't really have a choice with this camera. In response to tanjk's question, the problem happens even when I'm not using the flash... guess it's time to send it back to the workshop :)

    Exposure Problem with the 300D

Thks for all the advice .. will definitely try to shoot in RAW and compare the results. Also, excellent info from Tzuen and will try to remember that in future! Still, I can't help but feel disappointed with the camera (shudder, but don't get me wrong - I'm a Canon fan as well  )

    Exposure Problem with the 300D

They were all taken in a room with generally dim conditions (taking photos of my baby lar :) ), and the viewfinder was all on the baby, so no background lighting to interfere with exposure readings... I nearly always have to use PS to correct for exposure - that shouldnt be common right?

    Exposure Problem with the 300D

Really, didn't know I can do that - thanks - will definitely try that next time. I 'cleaned' those underexposed shots up using PS - Auto Levels, so don't really have any underexposed shots right now. Will share them once it occurs again - which is not too far away I think :embrass:

    Exposure Problem with the 300D

Hi all, Just wondering if anyone out there has any problems with the exposure of this camera? I've been taking pictures on this camera for a while and realised that the pictures sometimes comes up underexposed (in auto mode, AV or Shutter speed setting). I have to go to the manual mode and...

    Tranquility

I felt the colours were bright and vibrant, but also agreed that the composition could have been better if the boat was more strategically placed.

    I dont care

Especially like the 2nd shot - the break in the wall made the photo more unique and special, as compared without it. Probably will try to copy this shot the next time :p :p 1st shot looks dark to me as well - monitor?

    flash presentation

I felt it was very well done but agreed with Dark Force that the edges are too empty. The music, erm, I felt it was too melancholic, esp for a wedding :( Have you tried earlier Everything About the Girl music? (Ok, ok should refrain from plugging my favorite group)

It's so good to be young

Hi, Newbie here, but I especially liked the contrast in the 2nd pic though I feel the hands were overexposed ... :sweatsm:

    Tian Fu Gong

I liked the last one especially  Think the blurring of the background makes the picture more effective. It evokes a sense of place, especially when the background is that of a temple.
