Took this during my vacation - around noon time with polariser filter. Looking forward to your critiques...

hmm... the boat at the lower left makes a very weak foreground subject. It lacks some punch. I would prefer to put the whole boat into the frame if possible.

And the hash light of the afternoon sun makes the bottom of the boat lose detail. It makes the photo looks very flat, lack the 3D feeling. One suggestion is to use the flash to fill-up the shadow, or wait for better timing.

Hope you dun mind me been a little negative.. :D
 

I felt the colours were bright and vibrant, but also agreed that the composition could have been better if the boat was more strategically placed.

Thanks for your constructive feedbacks. No...I don't mind the negative feedbacks...thats how we learn, right?

actually imho, the 'cropped off' boat is fine... just that i find the shore disturbing....
try covering the shore with your hand and imagine that the shore is the lake..perhaps you will see why

;)
