You're not the first one to feel this way. *sigh* It's the UI that's vastly superior. Physical switches FTW.SB700 announced - and it's better than my SB900 in terms of functionality. Just look at the dials on the left and right of screen. ARGH!
Too bad it lacks a PC connector
Nonetheless I think I'm going to get one ;p
sounds good . . . hmmm why not label as SB1000 since it is better than SB900?
Not better than SB900 lah. Yes, it's improvement of SB600 but still below SB900.
Still long time till Nikon announce SB1000, as it would be the future SB900 replacement.
I have had all flavours of Nikon i-TTL flashes. SB400, SB600, SB800, SB900.
When the SB900 came out I thought I saw heaven. Now the SB700 with EVEN more knobs for interface. GOLLY!
But no PC jack
They have put a lot of buttons on the small SB700 body, so no more space for PC Jack.
So we still have reason to stick on SB900.
I don't subscribe to this theory - there is ALWAYS space somewhere. Really.
They have put a lot of buttons on the small SB700 body, so no more space for PC Jack.
So we still have reason to stick on SB900.
How big is the SB700 compared to the SB600, SB800 and SB900 ?
They have put a lot of buttons on the small SB700 body, so no more space for PC Jack.
So we still have reason to stick on SB900.
According to nikon USA, the expected price is US$329.95
