$10 adapter solves PC sync problems.
SB700 is positioned as a move up from SB600. That is why they did not put in those features. Those who need the power and speed of use should still go for the SB900.
I am aiming at a couple of SB700 myself.. but I will wait after the initial BBB madness subside.
*facepalm*You want to pay for a $10 adapter and turn the new US$329.95 toy into a manual only flash?
Be my guest.
But if you ever use a SB900 you would realise the controls are actually more intuitive on the SB700. What a waste
Did I mention that the tedious process of using gels are gone?

Really ?
Based on Nikon website, SB-700 is using hard type of gel filters.
http://www.nikon.com/about/news/2010/0915_sb-700_04.htm
Not the soft type like the ones for SB-800.
That is exactly what I meant and what I showed in the pic.. ;p
Get it from Nikon site: (W x H x D)
SB600 Dimensions 68 x 123.5 x 90mm (Approx.)
SB700 Dimensions 71 x 126 x 104.5mm (Approx.)
SB800 Dimensions 70.6 x 127.4 x 91.7mm (Approx.)
SB900 Dimensions 78.0 x146.0 x 118.5 mm (Approx.)
I think SB700 layout is too crowded, small body with too many buttons.
Not a surprised that there is no space available for PC chord.
Guys.. Stupid question.. How come no one compare SB 700 with SB 800?
Coz SB-800 is discontinued. So you can only get second hand ones these days.
if u like that BuyBuyBuy ;p
i still tink is not better than sb900
but buy 2 sb700 to replace 1 sb900 ? hmmmmm
