Scores of angry DBS users took to sites like Facebook and Twitter to voice their displeasure. Said Kenneth Ip on Facebook: 'The whole darned DBS network is down. Including their credit cards and ATMS. I almost got stuck at the gas station!!!'
A user of the Straits Times citizen journalism website STOMP, identified as 'rockaroundtheclock', said: 'I forgot to withdraw money yesterday so I tried today but all ATMs were out of order so I had no breakfast today... who will compensate?'
Others even demand that DBS should be penalised for the service disruption. Twitter user simontay78 said DBS should be fined, while others threatened to switch banks.
