hi, i am new to this kopitiam..

i walked in here, and i notice that i am hungry.. and i decide that i want to eat. i see Char kway teow, Nann bread, Orh lua, Pork chop noodles, Satay bee hoon..

all of them are different, cooked by top chefs from all over the world. all get good reviews at kptreview.com and cooking-resource.com.. this is very nice kopitiam indeed.

however, i do not know what to eat.. the chefs are willing to give me sample.. but i too lazy to try.. i ask you all, what should i eat??

also, i am told that i need to buy a fridge to keep my food, or it will grow fungus and mold.

which fridge is good?

i also heard that got different type of cutlery to use with the food...

got low class brand is what Vitapon, Evolux...

then got higher class brand is what Haiya..

then the best one is what B+G.. which one should i use??

i also know that if i want to enjoy the food for a longer period of time i should have a nice chair to support myself to prevent myself from shaking in delight as i eat the food...

should i get a plastic chair? or an aluminium one? note that when i go from stall to stall to eat food i will have to carry the chair.

i want something that can last me a long time, light to carry, and does not move too much when i tremble in delight looking at the delightful morsels in front of me.

i also want to limit the price...

ahahahahaha. sorry couldn't help but laugh when i read this. =X

can anyone tell me what all the different sauces do?

got what chilli sauce.. got soya sauce... got vinegar...

haiya, i am so confused, so many types of sauces... i know there is article on wikipedia telling me what each and every single sauce does, but i would like a senior here to teach me because seniors are very very nice people with a lot of time to answer my questions.

Roast goat eat with hands and sitting on the floor.

i know, but i heard that Char kway teow and Nann bread are very popular foods.

everyone is filling their stomachs with these foods, i am worried that they are using the same type of cutlery and i might be able to share with them if i eat these foods.

plus, it is so nice to find people similar to me.. even though i might be different, i think i will follow blindly.

i have decided on these two foods: Char kway teow without chilli and Nann bread D3542 (this is a variety of nann bread that i have to add sauce myself if i use cutlery that doesn't have built-in sauce adding function)... can you tell me which one is better?

i am so confused.. all these review sites i think i shall pretend i have read, even though i didn't.

please advise this lost goat.

hi,

i am totally serious. i am lost. can you tell me what to buy?

i heard that there is this very good photographer who takes self-portraits.. a lot of people love him... can you tell me what brand he uses? if i use his camera, i will be loved too. :)

i think his name is what... quite close to Sian.. i cannot remember...

someone told me that the chefs, some are not so good..

some actually put a lot of effort into cooking their food!

shouldn't they just use good ingredients? i think the best chef is the one that can cook without using much sauce.. he can just dump the chicken raw into the pot, and then somehow magically produce nice food without adding anything else much.

is it really necessary to add seasoning to food?

i have tried cooking last time, i think my food without seasoning looks so much better.

everytime i cook for people, i make sure they know that i never use seasoning. i tell them proudly "I NEVER USE SEASONING, NICE HOR?" and stick a flag proclaiming that too. it is important that they know that i am very skilled.

sometimes they don't finish the food. i think they are just jealous.

how should i da bao the food and walk around with it?

some people tell me i can hang around my hand, some people say it is best to use a tray, some people say that it is good to hang around neck..

i think it is very important as to how i carry my food.. if i carry it with style, people will respect me more.

there are also very different brands of lunchbox. these lunchbox are sold by these evil people at the side who do not wish to work with the chefs.

sometimes i have to carry the food around until i buy a lunchbox..

got very lowlevel lunchbox from china.. it cushions my food nicely.. what Baoman..

then got ok level lunchbox.. also made in china, the food i throw around in the lunchbox, shake the lunchbox, it will stay edible.. but so obiang that lunchbox.. big and huge and take up a lot of space, that brand is Laobanpro..

then got higher level lunchbox.. those, wa, so expensive ar... got Dan-K (apparently can carry egg nicely).. got sharksfinningham.. oh boy... so stylish, i  but i cannot afford, so i will go around saying that they are very superficial items to have.

what, no one wants to help this helpless newbie?

i like to be spoonfed. i am thick-skinned, there, i said it, i don't like to do things myself. i have been so used to everything being given to me on a silver platter that i am proud to say that i am a prince/princess and that all of you are obliged to help me.

in fact, you should be glad that you can help at all! you should live up to the expectations of what "senior member" tag!

helping me is good for all of you. spoonfeed me now.

if you don't like to see this, you can close the thread.

do i have to pretend that i am female, have long fake eyelashes, and like to apply nail polish, and holiday time i sometimes pose for people..

before i get help/green tea/ large size prints of myself???

Nann is the best. I only eat Nann.

Cos someone told me CKT not nice. :thumbsd:

i want to gather more opinions before i buy my food. never mind that eveyrone will tell me they eat different things. it is just quite fun to chit chat with people.

there is food called roti prata in this kopitiam?

i know of a place that sells Roti prata.. i think it has what GX model, G1 G2 or something?? but i think very little people eat Roti prata, and the food doesn't have option of different sauces.

i think i want to look more high class and eat something that looks better.

best if the food comes in a tall tall tall plate, then i can go around shoving the plate into people's faces :)

thank you senior repty..

I think you missed on the famous Laksa, I heard the history of this dish goes all the way back to WWII period.

Some of the Laksa lovers swears by this dish and they will only eat Laksa when they go out.
