I am just curious. I know someone who died while working. I am curious what kind of compensation is he entitled to from the company? Or is it a case of why you work so hard? The last I heard is the company did not even sent a wrath.

What are you entitled to if you die while working in your present job?

Claim insurance. Your company suppose to buy insurance for you when you are in your job.

If you are a high value employee, the company will most probably have a Corporate-Owned Life Insurance (COLI) purchased for you so in the event that you are deceased or incapacitated while under their employment, the benefits will then be payable to your company. ;p

So in certain circumstances or environment especially after surpassing your useful age or level of productivity, your company will wish you dead instead so they can profit from the insurance payout. :bsmilie:

I am not sure how much I'm insured by my coy...but sgd20-50K is so little..even SAF insured for >sgd100k for the many NSFs...
I think for SAF, you are buying from the group insurance. I am not sure if SAF insured you further.

So the insurance company will pay to the company. The company may or may not give the deceased family the full amount?
