Viewfinder VS LCD

Hi guys. I have a noob qn to raise here, hopefully some of you can answer.

It seems that the image that was shown on my viewfinder is somewhat the zoomed in version of what is displayed on my camera LCD. is this normal to have? initially i used my kit lens and then i changed to Tamron 17-50mm, and this phenomenon was enchanced.

Any idea on how to solve this will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

ps: i m using canon 450D as the body

Because, your viewfinder only provides 95% frame coverage.

Go through your user manual again, they did state and explain it.
