1. In what area is critique to be sought?
Composition, exposure, sharpness and detail. PP done is only auto-colour and auto-level.

2. What one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
To show the element of 'break the norm'.

3. Under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
Nikon D90 with kit lens. Cloudy day.

4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
Noisy. Maybe 'blurring' the background and foreground can reduce the noise?

nice contrast and colors.... i think the green goes well with the subjects..... the composition looks a little loose, just my personal opinion

get in closer with a longer lens or just step up.... there's this urge in me to want to feel the texture on those feathers, beaks and claws...

getting closer should help give you a little more bokeh and perhaps cut out some of the backlight in the background too

is it just me or is there a purple overcast?

By having about 50% of non related backbrd plus some twigs appearing behind the bird, I ssuppose this is what you mean by " break the norm ".

Errrmmm... 2nd and 3rd parrot are standing the same stance but the first is doing otherwise. My subject. :what:

If the twig/leaf protruding out from the first parrot can be removed somehow, it'll be good!

Wow, the colours are very vibrant! Can print out and display for birdpark :)
But maybe can crop off the left side a bit, the brown twig not very nice
