To avoid problems of flickering in holy grail type of timelapse, he recommended that (see from 2:10 onwards) the following settings are used:
1) Turn On "Exposure Smoothing" [located in Photo Shooting Menu > Interval timer shooting]
2) Use Aperture Priority Mode
3) Turn On "Auto ISO"
4) Set White Balance to the appropriate environment that you are shooting (whichever is appropriate as long as it is NOT auto white balance)
5) Goto Photo Shooting Menu > Set Picture Control, make sure no settings here are auto
6) Turn off "Active D-Lighting" in Photo Shooting Menu
7) Turn off "Vigette Control" in Photo Shooting Menu
My own setting:
8) Photo Shooting Menu > ISO Sensitivity,
Set:
ISO Sensitivity = 100
Auto ISO Sensitivity =ON
Maximum Sensitivity = 64,000
Minimum shutter speed = 1/200 (OT: for photo handheld shooting, set to 1/100)
