I miss the kway teow, the chicken rice & the sugarcane juiceKoolBlue said:This is sad that another building with history and heritage is going to be torn down. Sometimes I wonder what these people are up to. Slowly, our heritage buildings and even hawker/food centres in the city area are going down in dust. Tyersall House is on a location far from the main roads. Why don't they develop the areas closer to the main roads without touching Tyersall House?
I still don't understand why the Hill Street Food Centre was torn down. It's been more than 3 years since it was torn down and nothing has been done to the site it was at. Why tear it down when there's no plans to develop the place? Hill Street was one of the few places in town where you can get cheap and good food.
