singapore's got lots more to worry about than trying to improve its standing in having the fastest swimmer or runner. does it really mean anything in the end whether the person was fastest, 3rd fastest, or 3rd from the last fastest?

it's a skewed game anyway. going by population pool, which is supposedly where we ought to be getting our "representatives", we're screwed. a country with 10 times our population has statistically 10 times greater chance of producing a person of mind and physique to accomplish the task. environment and money can try to do the rest. so are we so concerned at winning this game that is skewed against us?

whether susilo or zhang (sounds like from the chinese gene pool, yes?) wins or not, it's really not going to change much of what's troubling our country now - jobs, quality of life, freedom etc.

and u believe the minister really wept.

If it's any consolation, Boonsak lost today, to an Indonesian! ha.

Boonsak is the one that defeat our dear singapore player, Ronald Susilo...
