Nice...I am using Canon FD 50mm f3.5 - super sharp...seems like legacy macro lenses are pretty sharp

Thank you. Yes, put aside the slightly low contrast, macro lens even the old one are very sharp.

Even wide open at f2.8 like the photo below, it is very sharp and high resolution.

Ps: One of the unique character of this Vivitar macro lens is the bokeh: it is very smooth when using as a normal lens!

I agree bro I have this lens also long back since my NEX7 time this lens is a keeper ^_^

I bought it cause need a small macro 1:1 lens to use beside my main 100/2.8 Macro so I did not expect this 55 is that good!
