Sony A300 + Kit lens street price ~$800

A330 + 18-55mm kit lens

Max Photo quoted $810. And they're not even one of the more competitive shops. So Im guessing its possible to get it even lower, till around $800.

The price is simply unbeatable for a entry level camera with so much functions.

Sony is really pushing the limits for their entry level DSLRs.

Side note: Street price for the new (and just arrived SG) A500 is $1090.

Except the A300 is discontinued, therefor they are clearing old stocks.

AFAIK you can get the A330 at 800-820 as well.

Old model? It's only announced in May and it was in the market only in June or July this year leh.

what's your point though? Are you doing some sort of advertising for Sony?

I agree that it's a damn good price for such a well-featured camera.

My post is to inform newbies the current price, so that if they wanna make purchases, whether brand new or 2nd hand, they will know roughly what price to expect.
