put personally, they prefer to use the competitor's product.
so they have to mask off the brand.

they cannot be seen using other brands as they r solely sponsered by that brand.

Just an example, in one Olympic, M.Jordon represented USA in basket ball (what else) and won. When the team went on stage to receive the medals, he covered his shirt's logo with the USA flag over his shoulder, because the official sponsor of the USA basket ball olympic team, is different and conflicted with his personal sponsor (brand "N", but not Nikon :bsmilie: ).
