Should I upgrade from EFS 17-85mm to EF 24-105mm L lens?

Most likely it's just my lowepro bag with 5D3 + 16-35L + 24-70L + 70-200L with tripod and L-bracket just in case taking landscape pictures on vertical mode..

Only u know the answer. For some, 17-40 f4L needed IS, others do not, depend on your technique and how steady you can hold your camera. But generally speaking, if you could attain at least 1/40sec of your shot, you do not need IS (again subjected to your own technique). Also lighting condition in those area where you use your lens are very important, it would determine how slow or fast your shutter speed would be. All in all, (at least for me) IS is not a must have, but is a good to have system.

As for 10-22mm, do you really need that wide or can 17-40mm do the trick? What do you intent to shoot? Where do you intent to shoot?

Both construction are good if that is what you mean... both have metal mount. 17-40mm f4L has weather seal, while 17-55mm do not. 17-55mm is bigger and heavier than the 17-40mmL lens (645g vs 475g) and (83.5mm x 110.6mm vs 84 x 97mm)

So u make the call whether you want,

1) Weather sealing
2) the extra 15mm range
3) the red ring on your lens (which you can easily accomplish by adding a red rubber band to your lens).
4) Lens hood (the L lens came with a lens hood that is already in the package, the non-L lens would require you to buy the lens hood separately - original one pretty expensive, but you can get a cheapo one from ebay)

Lol, You will lose $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Anyway, if you get the 17-55 over 17-85, you lose 30mm at the long end (obviously), but you gain constant f/2.8 and improved image quality.

if I get the 17-55mm, I might need to sell away the 17-85mm..but this 17-85mm lens doesn't sell well..
